The SBI has completed its investigation into the head of the illegally established "Dar'yivka Correctional Colony No. 3" by its residents.
SBI employees have completed a pre-trial investigation against a Kherson-based businessman who was collaborating with russians during the temporary occupation of Kherson region.
The indictment has been sent to court.
According to the investigation, after the russian invasion of the region, one of the regional businessmen supported the occupation authorities and was appointed head of a colony illegally created by the occupiers on the basis of the Dar'yivka penal colony.
Based on intelligence, the man received the position thanks to his traitor godfather, whom the russians appointed as the head of the "Department of the penal service".
After the liberation of the right bank of Kherson region, the collaborator fled with the occupiers to the left bank, where he continues to carry out criminal commands of the enemy.
The head of the colony is accused of voluntarily holding a position in illegal law enforcement agencies established in the temporarily occupied territory (Part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The article provides for a sentence of up to 15 years in prison.
The case is under the supervision of Mykolaiv Region Prosecutor's Office.
